We offer private lessons in 30-minute and 45-minute formats. Some sessions can also be booked as semi-private (2 riders) or private group (3+ riders) sessions for riders of similar ability or experience.
Ridden sessions focusing on control, balance, and technique β no jumping.
Includes:
Rider position and aids
Transitions and steering
Circles, serpentines, and straightness
Rhythm, relaxation, and accuracy

Progressive sessions introducing or developing work over poles and fences.
Includes:
Polework at walk, trot, and canter
Gridwork and accuracy exercises
Cross poles and small jumps (where appropriate)

A 30-minute unmounted session using simulated riding and posture awareness exercises to improve:
Seat and balance
Rider symmetry and feel
Core strength and body alignment

Unmounted, hands-on sessions for learning practical horse care. Topics may include:
Grooming and hoof care
Tacking up and untacking
Feeding, rugging, and daily routines
Equine first aid and pasture management
Points of the horse

Work with the horse from the ground to develop confidence, communication, and leadership.
Includes:
Leading and handling
In-hand exercises and polework
Horse behaviour and body language
Lunging or long-lining (where appropriate)

Ridden session with the horse on the lunge to isolate and improve rider position.
Focuses on:
Balance and rhythm
Seat development
Independent use of aids

Guided rides outside the arena for riders who have passed a hack assessment.

An off-horse session that covers riding knowledge and horse understanding in a calm, pressure-free format.
Covers topics like:
Riding theory and school figures

Many of our private lesson types can be booked as shared sessions for 2 or more riders of similar ability. These are ideal for siblings, friends, or family members who wish to ride and learn together.
One person books and pays for the session on behalf of the group
All riders must be connected as friends in the Ecpro system
