Group lessons can be booked either as an 8-week course or individually. Those opting for the 8-week course will receive a significant discount compared to individual booking rates. Individually booked group lessons follow our standard 48-hour cancellation policy.
Credit notes for course bookings paid in full are available up to one week before the scheduled start of the first lesson. Once within the seven-day period prior to the course, bookings become non-refundable or transferable, even in cases of missed lessons or cancellations.
Swapping a lesson: Requests to swap a lesson must be made at least seven days before the course commences. Swapping is subject to specific criteria, including informing us via email, selecting a lesson date within the same course, ensuring horse and lesson availability, and sticking to the same lesson type (a group lesson cannot be swapped for a private lesson). Only one lesson per course can be swapped.
We reserve the right to cancel a lesson for any reason. In the event of lesson cancellations, we will offer an alternative date and time. If unable to attend the rescheduled lesson, you must notify us within 24 hours of the new offer. Failure to communicate within this time frame will assume your participation in the rescheduled lesson, rendering it non-transferable and non-refundable. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled lesson, up to three alternative dates will be offered. Credit notes will not be offered when booked as a course.
Courses will typically consist of three or more riders. In the rare case of undersubscription resulting in fewer than three riders, the following protocol will be followed: If only two riders are present, a 45-minute semi-private session will proceed; if there is only one rider, a 30-minute private lesson will take place. Please note that we retain the right to implement these changes without prior notification.
Group lessons adhere to the ABRS Progressive Rider Awards Equation syllabus. Within this syllabus, riders will receive instruction on safe and correct practices for tacking up, untacking, mounting, and dismounting. These lessons will be integrated into the lesson time.
Unless specified otherwise, the content of group lessons may vary weekly. Please note that within group lessons, we are unable to accommodate requests for specific horses.
There may be times when riding is not appropriate for various reasons. In such cases, the group lesson will proceed with a non-ridden session, which may include, but is not limited to, the following topics: horse care and welfare, riding theory, and rider alignment. In this situation, a partial credit note will be issued. The value of the credit note will be determined by the price paid for the session. The standard non-ridden lesson rate will be deducted from the amount paid, and a credit note will be provided. Please note that we retain the right to implement these changes without prior notification.
All courses will be reviewed 48 hours before their start to verify that they are not undersubscribed. In the event of undersubscription, where feasible, an alternative course or the course value as a credit note will be offered.
We exclusively provide refunds in the form of credit notes, where the paid amount will be credited back to your Chestnut Stables EC Pro account for future lesson use. Credit notes exclude the booking fee. Kindly be aware that rebooking using only credit will not incur an additional booking fee.
